Walk-A-Thon

The Walk-a-Thon SAL Website ( A must see website) START PLANNING NOW The American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion in New York State are proud to announce another Walk-A-Thon to benefit 13 Veterans Administrative Medical Centers in New York State, the 5 New York State Veterans Homes along with the Fisher House in Albany, New York.

Our walk-a-thon is a fun and fit activity for all participants reaching for their personal best distance. Set realistic lap goals. Water will be provided. Rules Participants may start collecting pledges as soon as they receive the pledge sheets. Reminder: Pledge sheets need to be turned in on walk-a-thon day Saturday, April 18, 2009 Pledges may be made by anyone. Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, pledge per lap, and maximum pledge. Participants may collect the pledge in advance but must keep pledges until all are collected. On walk-a-thon day, each will walk on our designated area.. Each lap is approximately______
Upon completion of the
walk-a-thon, a volunteer will record each persons lap total on their pledge
sheet and return it. They may then collect outstanding pledges.
