Great Leaders Can be Found in New York State!

The Department of New York is one of the very few Departments in our organization that train and develop Certified Leadership Instructors.  Attached in this bulletin is a complete list of the -39- dedicated and well qualified women that act as Certified Leadership Instructors within our Department of New York.  We strongly encourage every Unit, County and District to have at least one function this year with a Certified Leadership Instructor offering an educational program!  These women are an incredible resource - don't waste the opportunity!

We also encourage any qualified candidate to consider applying to be certified as a Leadership Instructor.

Even if you do not aspire to the position of Certified Leadership Instructor, we strongly encourage all members to complete the American Legion Leadership Correspondence Course and the American Legion Extension Institute.

 2009
Mid Winter Conference

Jan. 23rd and 24th, 2009

REPORTING
One of the most important responsibilities of
Unit Committee Chairmen

is to report the activities and work
on their programs.
This comprises all of the work done by the more than 50,000 members in our Department.
The
Unit Chairmen report to the County Chairmen, who in turn
report to the Department Chairmen
.

The Department's report to National is the factor that makes the
outstanding reports at the National Convention.

Chairmen are encouraged to enter all contests.
